FAQ and Instructions:

  1. How do I listen to a song? There are two columns on most artist pages,

    1. Dialup, this is for slower connections. If you have regular 56k dialup you may experience some breaks in the audio. The other column is labeled
    2. Cable. This link is for Broadband users with cable or some form of high speed internet connection. Click the button under the appropriate column heading. Your default audio player will open and it  will start to play as the audio begins to stream from our server.

On some computers you may have to right click the link and select save target as, then save the file to your desktop. Once the completed you can usually click open and it will play or alternatively you can click the file on your desktop.

  2. What file type should I download? There are several media players available. Most will play mp3 files. mp3 files are compressed files and much smaller then wav, wma files. Some audio quality is lost but not much. For the average Joe mp3  should be fine. Anyone seriously interested in hi quality audio will know what format he wants. On some files we may offer Real Audio files "RM" so the three file types we try to offer on a song is:

    1. MP3 - MP3 is short for MPEG1 Layer 3. It ought to stand for Most Popular (version) 3. Due to it's compressed format 11:1 it downloads about 10 times faster and therefore is the most popular. but there is loss of audio quality from the orginal version of a song which is almost always a WAV file when recorded at the studio.
    2. WAV - Windows standard audio file type WAV is short for Waveform as in sound wave. it is audio in the raw with no compression or pre-processing and therefore no audio quality is lost from the original.
    3. RM - Real Media file used by the "Real Media Player" also by "WinAmp"

  3. How do I download / purchase music files? To download a music file first determine which file type you want. If your not sure I recommend the MP3 file type. It will play in most music players and even on some DVD players and in some car stereo CD players. However most of the older car stereo CD players play WAV files.
